Joining the ImPOWER Youth Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for you to play an integral role in the development of our nonprofit’s strategy, programs, and priorities. Board Member Expectations and Commitment

I understand that as a member of the Board of Directors of ImPOWER Youth, I have an ethical, fiduciary and legal responsibility to ensure that the organization works diligently towards its stated mission goals. Further, I agree to fully support the mission, vision and core values of the organization, to adhere to its behavioral expectations, and to act responsibly and prudently as its steward.

As a Board member, I agree to:

1. Attend Meetings and Events.
2. Participate in Decision-making.
3. Participate in the operation of ImPOWER Youth.
4. Avoid Conflicts and Behave in an Ethical Manner.
5. Be an Advocate.
6. Make an Annual Personal Financial Contribution.
7. Take an Active Role in Fundraising.
8. Expectations from ImPOWER Youth: As a Board member, I can expect the following from the organization:

• Integrity in decision-making
• Transparency in all nonprofit activities
• Consistency and timeliness in communications
• Training, encouragement, and strategic advice to carry out my responsibilities
• Respect for my time, views, and talents that I bring to the Board
