Tucson Audubon is restoring a section of Sonoita Creek in Patagonia, AZ, near the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, and we need your help to do it! We will be planting new natives and weeding out the invasive Johnson grass on-site. We will leave Tucson at 6:15am and start working near the Paton Center for Hummingbirds at 8am. We'll work until noon, but feel free to work the full day with us until 3pm or leave when you need to. Carpooling from Tucson will be available, and we will meet at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds at 8am. It will probably get somewhat hot and we'll be in the sun some, so bring a hat and water bottle, and dress to get dirty (close-toed shoes required). More info at abennett@tucsonaudubon.org

Mission Statement
Tucson Audubon promotes the protection and stewardship of southeast Arizona’s biological diversity through the study and enjoyment of birds and the places they live.
Description
We work for a future in which the people of southeast Arizona are connected to their natural world through birds, and they protect and use our natural resources in a responsible and sustainable manner.
Founded in 1949, Tucson Audubon is southeast Arizona's leading non-profit engaging people in the conservation of birds and their habitats. We involve people through recreational birding, extend their horizons through education activities, and engage them in conservation actions from planting trees and counting birds, to working with local, state, and national policy makers. We are a Founding Member of the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection.
