Historic Photo from the Museum Collection
First 3 employees of the city of Lacey at Lacey City Hall, April 1, 1967.

Do you love history? Enjoy looking at old photos? Get a thrill from creating detailed descriptions? This could be the opportunity for you!

We are looking for a detail-oriented person to assist with a grant project to catalogue (and eventually scan) negatives and contact prints for the Lacey Museum. Computer skills a must (regular use of MS Word & Excel plus specialized museum software for which you will be trained). Work site is at Lacey City Hall.

This project consists of using a light board to view negative strips and writing a detailed description and report on the condition of each item as well as filling out a database record.

Ideally you would be committed to working once a week for at least 2 hours, but 3 or 4 hours is preferred.

This opportunity is for a Monday or Tuesday shift (any time during regular 8-5 business hours).

Your work will help make our collection publicly available at https://laceymuseum.pastperfectonline.com (Feel free to check it out!) and will help us maximize our contribution to this grant project.

All applicants require an interview, background check and training.
