Mission Statement

Our Mission is Arts for All! We strive to bring the love and knowledge of the arts to our community.

Description

Wayne Arts is a non-profit organization that began in 1977. We rely on support from our membership and businesses. The council is an all-volunteer arts center, dependent on private donations, grants and the energies and talents of our membership and community. We are a vibrant center for art and an integral part of the community, promoting arts and artists. We educate through art opportunities by offering workshops, classes, demonstrations, exhibits and art-oriented events in collaboration with schools, organizations and individuals. We have two Art Galleries that are filled with group as well as solo exhibits which span a variety of subject matter and materials. Our Main Gallery provides the community with a space to showcase the intriguing work of artists inside and outside of Wayne County. The Christine Fayad Members’ Gallery showcases the talent of our members throughout the year. Classes and Demos are made available for all ages and skill levels for kids and adults. Try out your creative writing and poetry skills. Our community is full of talented artists, writers, musicians who love to teach. Our Gift Shop offers one of a kind gifts for everyone. Annual memberships help us to maintain the facility and cover the costs of class offerings as well as operating the gallery and gallery store. Memberships enable us to carry out our mission of encouraging cultural development throughout Wayne County and its neighboring communities and of making the arts accessible to anyone of interest.
