Our non-profit runs a concession stand at Mile High stadium. This is our sixth season in the same location. We run a stand that sells food and beer and we need 11 volunteers for each event. We do concerts and sporting events/Bronco games. All of the proceeds go back to the non-profit where we help with spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip and vet care for dogs in need. You can expect to be at the stadium for about 10 hours for each event. Our call times are about 5 hours before the event starts and we set up the stand and get ready to sell nachos, wings and pizza. We work the duration of the event and then spend about an hour after it ends cleaning up. No, we don't get to watch the event except for the tv screens that are located outside our stand. We have a core group of very dedicated volunteers that have been with us since the beginning. In the past we used high school students to fill in the remaining spaces. This hasn't been working lately as they have become very unreliable. We are penalized and lose money when volunteers don't show up and the dogs in turn suffer. It isn't hard work and we do have a good time but we need people who are reliable, showing up when they are expected to. Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old.
