Who We Are

PeaceGeeks is a Vancouver-based non-profit organization that builds technology for grassroots organizations who promote peace, human rights, and humanitarian action around the world.

We have several projects in motion, including one funded by the Google.org Impact Challenge award, and another in Jordan funded by Global Affairs Canada. We have a small but mighty staff, a volunteer board of directors, and hundreds of volunteers with their hands up to help. Check us out here: https://peacegeeks.org/

What We Are Looking For

The Marketing Advisor will be working on the Google.org Impact Challenge (GIC) funded project called Pathways. Pathways is a web application for newcomers (immigrants and refugees) to Metro Vancouver that assists them with their settlement and integration in Canada. Many newcomers struggle to adapt to a new way of life and feel overwhelmed with everything they must accomplish to get their lives in order. Canada provides resources to assist newcomers with their settlement, but they often go unused due to lack of awareness. Pathways is being designed to help newcomers by acting as a settlement guidebook so that users know what to do and where to go.

The Marketing Advisor will advise on and assist with the implementation of a marketing plan and strategy for the Pathways app. This app is set to go live in 2019.
