Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Survivant Organization

Hello!

We are seeking up and coming blackfemale musicians to feature on true crime docu-series focused on black women filming in DC Metro Area!!

Female musicians can be female solo artists and/or part of a female band. Participants must provide a complete song to be featured at the beginning of each podcast episode along with biographical, touring, and other information on accompanying forms of media (e.g. Facebook, Website, Twitter, Instagram, etc). This docuseries will be focused on a cluster of crimes committed against black girls several decades ago. As we examine and educate viewers about their stories, we want to feature music for the score and to break up the melancholy of the project.

If you are a female soloist, member of an all-girl band, and/or know of individuals that might want to participate, please send all interest, inquiries, and the following information to be filled out for consideration:

1) Name of soloist/band (include members);

2) Country of origin;

3) Short 2-4 sentence bio;

4) Picture of the artist(s);

5) Audio clip of an UPBEAT SONG (if you have one; must be clean/without profanity);

6) Audio clip of a MELANCHOLIC/SAD song (if you have one; must be clean/without profanity);

7) Website and/or link to music (if available; e.g. Soundcloud, etc);

8) Details regarding an upcoming tour schedule, if applicable)(must be happening in the next 12 months).

We really believe in this project so if you are interested in getting started with our team, we are looking for dedicated, reliable women who want to affect change and work to achieve gender equality around the world. It will be an awesome experience. THIS IS A NON-PAYING OPPORTUNITY.

Right now, we are working on several different projects so please put "Musicians Submission" in the subject line of the email you send to apply.tso@gmail.com. Upon receipt, you will be provided details on the next steps within a few days.
