Write, Edit, and Complete new and renewal proposals, concept papers, program reports, letters of inquiry, and stewardship documents;
build confidence and rapport among clients, future clients, donors and staff
collect information and data to develop and implement fundraising strategies for specific program areas, etc
allocate approximately 30% of time to project management activities to ensure that important internal and external deadlines are met;
research potential private, public funding opportunities and program expansion sites
develop growth and recognition strategies for current institutional donors, clients and future clients
act as liaison to select donors, facilitating donor site visits, clients and future program sites including scheduling, planning, content development, generating briefing documents for participating staff members;
create program budgets, budget narratives and financial reports; and
track donor activities and programming initiatives
A minimum of three years' experience as a grant writer; previous experience in education is a plus.
Able to thrive under deadline pressure.
Proficiency in researching, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and fundraising databases.
Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to be a team player and to work independently.
