Carpentry Skills Volunteer

The Carpentry Skills Volunteer will assist the Construction Skill Trainer in initiating the program goals of NUHECDC. This position may involve leading enrollees in dialog regarding information trained on, assisting trainees using tools, and answering questions that may arise while trainees are practicing their skills. This position will work in tandem with the Life/Soft Skill Trainer to give the students a comprehensive experience in the construction field.

NUHECDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing:
(1) job skill training and employment placement for those with barriers to employment and
(2) affordable housing to low- to moderate-income Oregonians.
