About Us
The Hamilton Volunteer Rescue Squad (HVRS) is a volunteer emergency medical services agency that provides basic life support, advanced life support, and technical rescue services to the citizens of western Loudoun County. We provide volunteer ambulance staffing seven nights a week. We boast a number of specialty units including a heavy rescue, a bike team, and two gators.
Who We're Looking For:
We are currently seeking motivated individuals who are interested in becoming Emergency Vehicle Operators and/or Emergency Medical Technicians, no experience is needed.

Many of our members have used the training and experience they gained with us to build careers in Education, Fire/Rescue, Healthcare, Private Security, Law Enforcement, and a variety of other fields.

Member Requirements
Our members are normally required to run one 12 hour overnight shift a week, however, accommodations can be made for unique schedules. If you give us your time, we will work with you.
As a member of HVRS, you will be required to obtain either an Emergency Vehicle Operator OR Emergency Medical Technician certification within one year of joining. *Please note we DO allow members to be Emergency Vehicle Operator (driver) only*

Description
The Hamilton Volunteer Rescue Squad (HVRS) was founded by a group of citizens committed to providing rescue services to the local community. In 1979, the company started with two Chevrolet Carryall ambulances, a boat, and 300 feet of rescue rope. Since its inception, Hamilton and the surrounding communities have grown substantially. Loudoun County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the United States for the past several years, and the HVRS has kept pace. We are made up of over 40 Drivers, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and Firefighters. These members provide both Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Technical Rescue services to the communities of Hamilton, Paeonian Springs, Waterford, and beyond.
