Be an Ambassador for the Inspiration Playground!
Help us make our community fun and inclusive! The Inspiration Playground was built to be an inclusive play space for people with and without disabilities to use together. Help us represent the playground's mission and engage our community. Ambassadors will be at the playground on Saturdays and will:
- Play on the playground
- Make the playground welcoming
- Answer questions from kids and adults
- Advocate for kids with disabilities
- Encourage inclusive play
- Assist with use of the equipment
- Represent the playground’s mission
- Help build community
Ambassadors should come ready to play! Ambassadors will be on the playground and will access the space alongside the kids and families. Successful ambassadors will be energetic and enthusiastic, easy to talk to and accessible for kids who need assistance or have questions, and comfortable being available to provide support without being an authority figure.
Volunteers choose 3 two-hour sessions. All sessions are on Saturdays between 11 am - 3 pm, June through September.

The Inspiration Playground provides an innovative play space where kids of all ages and abilities can play and explore at their own pace. Dedicated to fun, imagination, and learning, it is a universally-accessible play experience - a truly Inspiration(al) Playground.
Description
Bellevue Parks & Community Services maintains over 2,700 acres of parks and open space land and over 80 miles of trails. The department also provides recreation programs for over 10,000 participants each year. Bellevue Parks & Community Services partnered with the Bellevue Rotary Club to add the Inspiration Playground to Bellevue Downtown Park in 2017.
