We are looking for volunteers who are available daily from 8am-12pm or 12:30pm-4:30pm who would serve as greeters
POSITION SUMMARY:
Volunteers will be needed on a daily basis to help with our reception/waiting assisting patents and families during their visit to the Medical Center. Volunteers will greet and sign-in families and assist in areas such as the waiting room, physical therapy, surgery and refreshment areas.
RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Partner with hospitality to monitor patient flow in Main Admissions and Registration areas
- Greet all guests arriving to the Medical Center with a smile and warm greeting.
- Upon arrival of guests, identify patients and greet patients and family members and ask them to check in.
- Direct patients and families to registration areas according to guidelines and knowledge of patient flow

Description
Shriners for Children Medical Center, previously known as Shriners Hospitals for Children - Los Angeles, is a specialty Medical Center providing comprehensive medical, surgical and rehabilitative care to children up to age 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burn scars, and cleft lip and palate. Patients receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the families' ability to pay. In 2017, Shriners Hospitals for Children - Los Angeles transitioned to Shriners for Children Medical Center, where we operate as an ambulatory surgery center. Although we have moved, our mission is still dedicated to meeting the needs of as many patients and families as possible who can benefit from the specialized services we provide. While our facility operates on an outpatient basis to serve more patients, we still offer surgeries and procedures requiring an overnight admission, at our partner hospital. Our partner facility is Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California. Our Shriners for Children Medical Center physicians perform these procedures and provide all pre-surgical and follow-up care
