The Montebello Historical Society records, promotes and encourages the study and research of the history of the City of Montebello, California.
Description
The Montebello Historical Society operates the Sanchez Adobe, which dates back to 1844. The Adobe is a historical timeline museum and focuses on life in the 1840s-1860s, with a 20th century room that talks about the later years. The museum offers tours, programming for children and adults and many volunteer and intern opportunities.
