Cultural Exchange Opportunity with Young Professionals from S. Korea

Global Ties ABQ is seeking homestay volunteers for our upcoming U.S. Congress - Republic of Korea National Assembly Exchange Program to host young professionals from Korea for the dates of July 27-29. Participants would be picked up from the Global Ties ABQ office in the early evening of the 27th and dropped off at the Homewood Suites in Uptown on the 29th (time is flexible). Volunteers are expected to provide (at a minimum) a bed, an evening meal on the 27th, all meals on the 28th, and at least breakfast on the 29th. The group will be doing plenty of cultural activities during their time in Albuquerque so we are not expecting volunteers to provide tourism activities, only the opportunity to get the experience of everyday life in Albuquerque, NM. Global Ties ABQ will also have our Summer Potluck on the evening of the 28th which all are welcome to attend and will be an optional activity for hosts and their Korean guests.

The Albuquerque Council for International Visitors is now Global Ties ABQ! Each year we bring more than 150 emerging leaders from around the world to Albuquerque to meet with their counterparts in: business, education, government, NGO leadership, conservation, healthcare, governance, multicultural societies and much more . We connect international visitors, our community and our members to one another through citizen diplomacy and international exchange. As citizen diplomats, we positively build US and International Relations "one hand shake at a time."
