36th Annual Senior Picnic. Biggest Special Event of the year where volunteers entertain senior club members

ASC Senior Club offers a wide array of classes and workshops to accommodate a variety of interests, needs and abilities. If you have a specialized skill, interest, hobby, or leisure activity that you have experience in, please consider volunteering your time to share your knowledge and interest in that activity with our senior club members. Your enthusiasm will ignite their interest and that can enhance personal development and appreciation of a new skill. Listed below are few brief descriptions of classes and activities that we provide and some that we would like to incorporate into our community center.

Silver Fitness Level 1:
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver Fitness Level 2 : This level is for moderately active older adults who exercise in some way one to two days per week. The class is designed to increase the participant's flexibility, joint stability, dynamic balance, coordination, agility, reaction time, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Spanish (beginning)
This class will focus on understanding the basic structure of Spanish, beginning with verbs and how to conjugate them. Students will also spend time on pronunciation.

Ping Pong (novice)
Table tennis, also known as ping pong , is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using a small, round bat. The game takes place indoors on a hard table divided by a net.

Senior fit
This class is designed to help participants increase flexibility, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. The workout combines aerobic flexibility (stretching), and resistance (strength) training with lots of fun!
