Serve as a volunteer and gain valuable hours during our Family Summer Days events every other Saturday in June and July at the Art & History Museums: Maitland. Join us as we offer our community a unique summer art making event!
Requirements:
Must be 16 or older and commit to at least two Saturdays over the course of our program. (June 2, June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28)
Attend the Volunteer Orientation scheduled with Danielle F (DanielleF@artandhistory.org)
Follow the Art & History Museums: Maitland Education Department Code of Conduct
Consent to background check and complete necessary forms
Volunteer duties will include:
Work alongside Museum Educators to teach and create Elemental Arts projects with attending families.
Set- up and prepare supplies
Maintain clean-ish workspaces
Clean up and tear down art stations
Have fun!
Specific projects include: leaf print garden stones, nature printing on paper, kite making, bubble prints, cyanotypes, shadow art, encaustics, wire sculpture, monotypes and more!

The Art and History Museums Maitland formed by the 2010 merger of the Maitland Art Center and Maitland Historical Society, strives to promote, engage and educate all visitors about visual art and history through exhibitions, tours, classes, programming, special events, research services and volunteer opportunities.
