Marketing Assistant Volunteer

We are looking for a creative, driven, self starting marketing assistant who is passionate about our cause and will help us grow our audience reach in the community and on our online platforms. Our volunteer marketing assistant will be responsible for helping us tell our story via web, social media, and in the community at large. Some additional responsibilities include development of marketing collateral, creating web based marketing campaigns, strategic planning for organization events, and tracking of audience engagement and marketing analytics. Previous marketing experience with a nonprofit organization, and graphic design experience is preferred. Please respond to this posting directly, or forward your resume to info@IYLFleads.org.

Minimum Preferred Requirements: Familiar with MailChimp, Slack, Microsoft Publisher or Canva, Wordpress, Graphic design experience preferred, Strategic Thinker, Marketing Publication and Content Creation experience preferred. Experience writing press releases and or articles for publications. Must have strong project management skills. Excited to give back and shape our marketing operation for years to come.

Principle Responsibilities:
· Create an maintain compelling email newsletters with engaging content.
· Oversee the design, creation, and printing of new marketing materials for our program and organization including t-shirts, event & program collateral etc.
· Write press releases and seek out local, state, and national publications as well as online platforms
· Coordinate with the Social Media Manager on planning and execution of the content calendar
· Maintain the website making sure that all information is current and relevant.
· Track and report on audience engagement
