Overview:
We are seeking a volunteer, for our Grants Research Associate position, with strong writing and research skills who are eager to expand their knowledge and support our organization. This position is a great opportunity for someone who feels comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to improve their already strong reading comprehension and research skills. In this role, our volunteer will support our grant writing team with several aspects of the grants process in order to bring additional revenue into the organization. The Grants Research Associate is responsible for thoroughly searching the internet and other electronic sources to identify, track and prioritize funding opportunities. This position requires a highly motivated and skilled team player to perform a wide range of development and grant support, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Navigate numerous internet-based electronic resources to locate funding opportunities
• Maintain electronic records/reminders of funding opportunities
• Daily reporting of new and updated funding opportunities
• Supporting the grant writer in securing grants

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand complex concepts and quickly identify relevant funding opportunities
• Highly motivated, have a positive attitude and be able to work in a structured, performance-driven environment
• Detail-oriented person with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as assisting other members of the team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
