A 77 year old valley woman needs help with vacuuming, dusting, and dishes. Since her stroke, doing the housework has become difficult.
If you live in another part of Spokane or Spokane Valley and are interested in helping closer to your home, please reach out. There are seniors in need of house cleaning help in all neighborhoods of the Spokane area. Due to the vulnerable population that we serve, volunteers are required to complete an application which asks for 3 references and authorization to run a background check.
Volunteer Chore Services is a department of Catholic Charities Eastern Washington. We provide housework, yard work and transportation services that enable low-income seniors and disabled adults to remain in their own homes with dignity, safety and connection to the community.

Volunteer Chore Services provides a wide range of household tasks and assistance that enable low-income elderly and disabled clients to remain in their own homes with dignity, safety, and a connection to their community.
Description
Volunteer Chore Services is a program of Catholic Charities, started as a safety net for elders and adults with disabilities who do not qualify for state-paid chore assistance and cannot afford to hire assistance. Assistance includes housework, laundry, transportation, shopping and various other independent living requests.
Catholic Charities affirms the dignity of every person, partnering with parishes and the greater community to serve and advocate for those who are vulnerable, bringing stability and hope to people throughout Eastern Washington.
Volunteers can choose which chore or chores they wish to help with and how often they want to help. Volunteers can set their own schedules.
