Family Promise of Greater Denver (familypromiseofgreaterdenver.org) provides shelter and other services to families experiencing homelessness. Occasionally we host guests whose parenting styles lead to conflict with their children and tension for other guests and staff. As a staff, we'd like to learn more techniques for talking to the parents about this without alienating them. We'd like a volunteer with experience teaching parenting skills (preferably also trauma-informed) to come to a staff meeting on any Wednesday between 12 pm and 2 pm to do a short training for our group of 9 staff.

Description
Family Promise of Greater Denver provides shelter, meals, rental assistance, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. We also work with families on employment, long-term housing solutions and other goals to ensure self-sufficiency and a brighter future.
Family Promise of Greater Denver began serving homeless families in 1997 and is part of a national network of 180+ affiliates. Since our founding, we’ve helped more than 1,000 families, including 1,900 children. Today, an average of 70% of families leave with housing and 85% of adults secure employment while they’re in the program!
