Ayiti Now Corp is a 501(c)(3) organization created for empowering marginalized children of poverty through our educational programs.

Role brief: The Librarian is a virtual volunteer position where one would ideally construct and maintain a cloud based reference database of all the citations we have verified, cataloged with tags and keywords for easy retrieval.

Responsibilities:

Identifying citation needs, deciding on a free reference cloud based service, retrieving and cataloging citations

Selecting, cataloging and classifying citation resources using reference systems and specialist computer applications

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 years of experience with citations preferred

Master in Library Science (M.L.S.)

Minimum volunteer hours expected: 5 hrs per week

Fluent in spoken and written English

Reliable internet connection a must

Knowledge and familiarity with creating and referencing citations along with database of same

Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, clear, motivated self-starter and able to work independently with the help of Google Drive, Trello and Slack in a fast-paced environment

Able to effectively communicate

Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
