Volunteer at Chow Down in Campustown!
The students are away...now’s the time to enjoy a taste of all Campustown has to offer at the new 13 Thursdays launch event - Chow Down in Campustown! Featuring free food samples at participating restaurants, sidewalk sale shopping, chalk the quads, and a free outdoor movie. The event will be held Thursday, May 31, 4-9pm.
Volunteers are needed to help put on this fun, start-of-summer event! We will contact you with details the week of Memorial Day. Parking validation will be available for volunteers in the Campus Center Parking Deck and all volunteers will get a fun Chow Down t-shirt to wear during your shift!

Mission Statement
To market Center City to our residents and beyond by working together to make our independent retailers stronger and by encouraging collaboration between businesses and districts. Our focus is on creating healthy and vibrant downtown areas for our residents and visitors through traditional marketing, advocacy and special events. Our citizens can take pride in their downtowns and this is crucial to maintaining the current retailers, restaurants and specialty shops as well as recruiting more businesses to join our Center City. Our main message is to shop local throughout the year. When you spend $100 at a locally-owned business, $68 stays in your community.
Description

Included in this partnership are the districts of Downtown, Campustown and the central commercial area along University Avenue and First Street known as Midtown. The districts are collectively known as Center City.
The Champaign Center Partnership is a member based business organization providing marketing and promotion opportunities for our members as well as advocacy and assistance.
