Positive role models are needed to support a FUN recreational program for teens on Saturday mornings. If you are a caring adult who is willing to show youth that positive change is possible, that young people are more than the mistakes of their past, please respond!
Spend a Saturday morning with teens behind the fence reinforcing the benefits of teamwork by playing kickball or softball! Build trust by climbing the alpine tower or spark friendly competition with a game of Spikeball! Come to DJJ and encourage kids to be kids while taking a ride down the slip and slide! Volunteer to be a positive role model and have a blast this summer with teens who need your support!
Be appreciated. Be a DJJ volunteer!

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to protect the public and reclaim juveniles through prevention, community services, education, and rehabilitative services in the least restrictive environment.
Description
At DJJ we believe change is possible! The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is a state cabinet agency, and by law, it is also a treatment and rehabilitative agency for the state's juveniles.
DJJ is responsible for providing custodial care and rehabilitation for the state’s children who are incarcerated, on probation or parole, or in community placement for a criminal or status offense.
Our goal at DJJ is to protect the public and reclaim juveniles through prevention, community programs, education, and rehabilitative services in the least restrictive environment possible. Volunteers who desire to empower youth for the future and want to make a difference in the lives of children are needed to support the organization's mission.
