Seeking a volunteer and/or small volunteer group to assist with activities 1x per week at Lakeshore Heartland. Days and time negotiable!
Caris Healthcare works closely with the activity director at Lakeshore Heartland to provide exciting opportunities for the residents. The ideal volunteer(s) would be someone that is friendly, committed, and up for "whatever"! Activities these volunteers can assist with:
-Bingo
-Resident outings
-Art
-Reading
-Companionship
-Special events
-Activities created by volunteer(s)
Training WILL be provided. Great opportunity for responsible high school students, active seniors, parents and children!

Description
The focus of hospice care is on the patient and the family - the unit of care. One way that Caris achieves this is through what is known as The Better Way program. The Better Way program provides Caris employees and volunteers with a format for achieving excellence through customer service. The program incorporates customer care initiatives into the daily activities of all employees, from clinical staff and volunteers to administrators. Caris believes there is always room for improvement, and our employees and volunteers strive to improve our service each day.
