Assist Catholic Charities Homeless Services programs in their office with a variety of tasks, for example, filing, data management, research, organization, partnership development and answering phones. Volunteer will be asked to do referrals on the phone for people calling the office, and assist the case managers with referrals for our clients. Volunteer should have a professional demeanor, basic computer and filing skills, and excellent phone manners.
Great opportunity for someone looking to volunteer on a regular basis, or for students interested in gaining professional skills and learning about work at a non-profit organization. Option for this position to become an internship for those interested in making a longer commitment-may be eligible for course credit.
Location will be at various sites throughout New Orleans, with offices moving to the West Bank summer 2018. Time commitment is flexible, but should be on a regular schedule between the hours of 8:30-4:30, Monday-Friday.

Description
Since 1938 Catholic Charities has been offering life-giving programs, advocating for the voiceless and empowering the most vulnerable to foster a more just society. Catholic Charities has over 22 programs and twoaffiliated ministries in the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Our programs engage and serve members of the community from pre-birth to the elderly but all of them fall under one of the following areas:

- domestic violence
- education and young adults

- housing and homelessness
- disaster recovery
- immigration/refugee resettlement
- justice and employment
- physical and mental health
- pro-life services
