Looking for an impactful and inspiring volunteer opportunity? Join YEI’s growing community of guest speakers! Youth Entrepreneur Institute (YEI) is a groundbreaking and exciting year round enrichment program that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Throughout the program, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of mock investors (community members, and mentors) and actually launch and run their own companies.
STEM Guest Speaker:
The purpose of the Career Guest Conference is to give students an opportunity to meet professionals and to learn about their respective occupations and career paths. The focus of this event is around career awareness, exploration, & advice, and education and how It relates to a profession/career.
Our team will work with you to craft your talking points for your 15-25 speech. After which, the students will have game style mock interview that our creative team will put together!
The only thing that is required of you is time for a call with our Program Coordinator to talk about what you do, a couple of emails and your event of about 1hr - 1.5hr

Our mission is to break the cycle of local poverty by training the next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial and environmental leaders. Our programs help youth identify their own natural gifts and talents and then teaching them how to monetize these skills and use them to start a small business. We guide students through a dynamic B.A.S.E. curriculum (Business, Art & STEM Experiences), to develop the personal qualities that predict future professional success.

Youth Entrepreneur Institute (YEI) is a groundbreaking and exciting year round enrichment program that transforms elementary, middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Throughout the program, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of mock investors (community members, and mentors) and actually launch and run their own companies. Complete with dynamic guest speakers from the local business community and exciting behind-the-scenes trips to DCRA, DC Tax Office, and Small Business administration, the fun, projects-based approach empowers students from critical at risk areas to take charge of their futures in a profound way.
