Queens Community House is recruiting volunteers for our Friendly Visiting program, a program that matches home bound older adults with volunteers for weekly visiting to help create a mutual relationship and reduce isolation and loneliness among seniors with mobility impairments. We are looking for volunteers who speak Spanish fluently to visit Spanish-speaking seniors in Forest Hills, Rego Park, Elmhurst and Corona. Flexible schedule. Must be 18 years old or over.

Description
Queens Community House (QCH) is a multi-site, multi-service settlement house that serves the diverse neighborhoods of Queens. We serve residents of all ages, races, faiths, and ethnicities while supporting the viability of the borough as a whole.
QCH was formed in 1975 (as Forest Hills Community House) to help heal the wounds of a neighborhood conflict. Over four decades, our reach and breadth have grown; today we offer a broad network of comprehensive services at 25 program sites in 11 different neighborhoods in Queens, allowing us to impact individuals, families, and entire communities.
