Mission: A regional healthcare leader and influencer, Good Samaritan Project (GSP) provides inclusive, holistic, and integrated health and wellness services to individuals affected by HIV & other STIs, LGBTQ communities, and those seeking a welcoming and affirming health & community center.
GSP is seeking to fill the role of the receptionist with several volunteers. The commitment is weekly with a minimum of 4-hour shifts during normal office hours. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The receptionist serves an important role for GSP often times being the first point of contact for guests and clients. The person in this role supports the organization’s mission of providing a welcoming and affirming place for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Receptionist answers the main phone line and directs calls
- Greets guests and clients
- Answers basic questions about the organization and provides forms when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Agree to a background check
- Sign a confidentiality agreement form
- Friendly, positive, professional demeanor
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate multi-line phone - will train
- Ability to work with people of many different backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers

Description
Good Samaritan Project has served those affected by HIV/AIDS and STDs in the Kansas City area since 1985. We provide case management, mental health counseling, education, prevention and outreach to the community. We have an on-site primary care clinic which is managed and staffed by Truman Medical Center.
