We are looking for churches, businesses, corporations, or anyone who is interested in hosting a Back to School backpack and/or school supply drive for Community's Child. Or hairdressers who can provide children with new haircuts.

Each year we prepare between 250-300 disadvantaged South Bay children with the necessary school supplies to return to school. In addition, children receive new shoes and haircuts and parents receive the needed tools to assist their children with their homework.

All donations collected must be delivered by July 6, 2020.

SUPPLIES WE STILL NEED:

BACKPACKS, CRAYONS, COMPOSITION BOOKS, COLOR PENCILS, WIDE RULED FILLER PAPER, COLLEGE RULED FILLER PAPER, 1.5 INCH 3-RING BINDERS, PENCIL CASES/POUCHES, GLUE STICKS, ERASERS, PENS, 1-SUBJECT COLLEGE RULED SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS.
Please call for the total numbers needed and the complete list.

In addition, if you or group wish to volunteer for the day of distribution please let us know. Volunteer spots fill up quickly. All volunteers must be 18 and older. PRIORITY FOR VOLUNTEERING IS GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS DONATING TO THE EVENT.

Community's Child is a nondenominational Christian program committed to providing homeless women with infants healthy alternatives to abuse, poverty, addictions, and hopelessness. The program offers homeless women and their infants a safe, compassionate, yet structured living environments. At Community's Child , women acquire the education, skills training, employment opportunities and support services, necessary to break the patterns associated with homelessness.
