Jumpstart Atlanta will be serving 6 classrooms this summer and the AUC has a few slots left for select passionate individuals. Our focus is building literacy and social skills to help children be ready for kindergarten. Our slots are based at Jones Elementary and Scott Elementary. Here's some key info:

• This is a 300 hour AmeriCorp position that deems participants eligible for the Segal Education Award upon completion.
• The summer program runs for 10 weeks from 5/29 to 8/3 with breaks throughout
• Location preferences will be considered on a first hired basis.
• You will work in teams implementing programs Tuesday & Thursdays mornings with the remainder of hours being flexible and unstructured to support the classroom teachers. There will be a max of 16 children with their lead teachers present at all times.
• The school hours are 8:30a-3:30p. You will avg 25-30 hours a week.
• Training begins next week so you will have all the materials and background to enter the classroom confidently. All professional/educational backgrounds welcome!
• Regional Development Days 6/20, 6/29, 7/13, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1 at our downtown office
