The American Kidney Fund is looking for volunteers with any medical background to assist at the 14th Annual HOPE Health Week hosted by the National Baptist Convention in Oklahoma City, OK, by performing a blood pressure and finger-stick glucose readings and explaining the results to the participant. This event is part of a national effort to increase awareness of kidney disease and its two leading risk factors (diabetes and high blood pressure), while encouraging individuals to get and stay healthy. Nursing students, pharmacy students, and pre-med students welcome!
We are looking for 8 volunteers for each of the following days:
-Monday, June 18th, 12pm to 5pm (6 slots available)
-Tuesday, June 19th, 10am to 4pm (7 slots available)
-Wednesday, June 20th, 10am to 4pm (8 slots available)
*You may choose one or more shifts listed above*
Attire: All volunteers are to wear clothing that is comfortable and presentable. They may wear scrubs or their organizations t-shirt
Volunteer Duties: To perform blood pressure and/or glucose reading and explain the results to the participant
