Calling all History Buffs! YOU can help out in MPL's Archives and Special Collections!
This is the perfect opportunity to gain an inside look at the Milwaukee Public Library and learn more about local and state history. Volunteers will help with digitizing and scanning documents and adding items into databases.
HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
Complete an Online Volunteer Application at mpl.org/about/volunteer.php
WHEN:
- 2 hours per week
- Flexible schedule, times available during Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
WHERE:
- Central Library (814 W. Wisconsin Ave)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 18 years old
- Must be able to handle fragile documents with care
- Follow well-defined instructions and work follow
- Examine documents and assign appropriate descriptors
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and Access preferred
