Kidzz Helping Kidzz is in need of a Volunteer Accountant to act as Treasurer of this non-profit organization.
About Kidzz Helping Kidzz: KHK is a non-profit organization that supports 8-year-old Zachary Darner in helping to gain donations of new toys to give to children who are hospitalized over the holidays. Our mission is "Giving hope and joy to help heal children in their time of need. Inspire others to create a culture of kindness and mutual support in our communities."
Responsibilities:
- Oversee budget and financial spending of the organization
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and documents
- Provides updates of financial status to the Board of Directors
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks files
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local requirements
- Assists with special financial projects as requested

Description
Kidzz Helping Kidzz is a youth-led organization that formed as a result of Zach Darner’s (age 13) passion to help other kids in need. His passion developed seven years ago when his infant brother was quite ill and in the hospital. Zach desired to "give back" to children, brightening their lives with new toys at their bedsides. Since 2016, Zach has led six successful toy drives resulting in delivering nearly 30,000 toys which were given to children at St. Michael Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. His efforts have inspired other children who have volunteered their time. In 2018 these children (ages 10-18) formed the Advisory Board of Kidzz Helping Kidzz. Our Advisory Board leads the activities of the organization and has developed multiple programs over the years to help kids in need. One member of our Advisory Board shared: "Our work teaches us the importance of giving and sets a good example to other kids about the importance of giving back to our community."
