Interested in becoming an intern for the REEL MINDS Miami Mental Health Film Festival?

REEL MINDS is NAMI Miami’s signature educational event, providing stigma-free, accessible information to the South Florida community about mental illness.

The intern position for the 2019 Reel Minds Film Festival is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills in all aspects of planning a film festival, including programming, marketing, exhibition, curating, graphic design and journalism.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Films

  • Research film submission sites
  • Assist in films selection

Sponsorship

  • Assist with the Sponsorship Package Preparation
  • Work with databases to update sponsor profiles
  • Research potential sponsors

Webpage

  • Assist in maintaining the Film Festival’s website: upload photos, content, schedule, ticketing information, etc.

Posters and Programs

  • Assist in designing the Film Festival logo
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers, posters, t-shirts, etc.
  • Assist in creation of program

Marketing/Publicity

  • Create and implement social media campaign using Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining the Film Festival’s website
  • Write a Press Release about Mental Health Film Festivals in general
  • Assist in creating promotional materials such as flyers, posters, etc.
  • Document publicity, collect participant data, survey attendees and compile data
  • Write acknowledgment letters and transmit through Eventbrite


Interns must be available to work at the office (299 Alhambra Circle, Suite 224) a minimum of 6 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) from June to mid-August.
