The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) is looking for passionate volunteers to support Go, Lunch, our summer food program at sites around Columbus. Each summer, CRPD assists in the distribution of over 540,000 free meals to Columbus children between the ages of 1-18 while providing educational programming to combat summer learning loss. CRPD will utilize volunteer support through our canvassing efforts. Working with five high-need neighborhoods, volunteers will go door-to-door to hand out flyers to individuals and local businesses, and communicate information about free summer meals and programming with members of the community. CRPD will provide all the details and training prior to the canvassing efforts. Canvassing campaigns will take place from 10am-12pm, Monday-Friday during the following weeks: June 18-22, July 9-13, and July 30-August 3.
