Most volunteers feel personally rewarded through their offering of time, energy and compassion when they see how much they are able to help patients and families during end of life care. Our patient care volunteers will provide companionship and support to patients and their families with things such as: Friendly visits, Writing letters, Reading to patients, and finishing any end of life activities. Whatever your strengths or interests may be you can make a difference in the life of our patients and their family. Most volunteers give two hours per week, but you can give as much or as little as you can. We place you with a patient that is close to your home and works with your schedule.

- Greater self-knowledge from insights gained from relationships with patients, their families and from the hospice volunteer training.
- Spiritual growth from supporting a person through the final days while increasing the awareness of their own sense of spiritual values.
The people that make up Compassus are dedicated to compassionate care, clinical excellence and providing comfort and support to patients and their families with end-of-life issues. This includes our volunteers.
