This summer, Take The Reins will be offering summer camps for at-risk youth as well as opportunities for veterans. Some weeks of the summer will have camp for the whole week M-F as well as activities on the weekend for veterans and youth. Other weeks will have specific days of the week that programming will be available. Participants will learn basic riding skills as well as horse management and other horsemanship skills. You do NOT need to have horse experience to volunteer. There will be volunteer training available.

Description
Take The Reins works to empower two main demographics in the St. Louis area; veterans and at-risk youth. Through the use of EAL (Equine-Assisted Learning), we promote various skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, empathy, and understanding. All of our exercises are specifically built towards the success of each individual while learning these skills and developing personal growth.
