Are you someone who loves to always have a project? Do you love to create order out of chaos? Did you play 'Store' a lot as a kid? If so, this position might be a great fit for you!
RAFT is looking for several volunteers who can help us sort and stock our large volume of incoming material donations and get them out onto the floor for sale. You would get to look through all of the treasures that our donor bring to RAFT and help us keep our store well-stocked for teachers to find what they need for their classrooms.
We need help Monday-Saturday, but MONDAY is the day that we need the most help stocking our store. Our store is closed on Mondays, so we take the opportunity to refill our shelves to maximum capacity and need all hands on deck.
With a million things to sort through, there are always a million things to do. We could use your help!
If you are interested in helping us sort donations and keep our store full and well-organized, please contact us!
After a quick orientation and some training from our Materials Manager, you'll be good to go. Even an hour or two will make a big impact here at RAFT.

Mission Statement
At RAFT, we understand that kids learn best by doing. Providing them with hands-on experiences gives them opportunities to think creatively and critically, solve meaningful problems, and build relationships with others and the world. And guess what? Kids don’t need expensive materials to create priceless experiences. RAFT creates extraordinary hands-on lessons out of ordinary "stuff" that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Our unique business model brings together Colorado business, non-profit, and education communities to support teachers. Since we opened our doors in 2009, our partners have donated tons (literally!) of materials and thousands of volunteer hours to innovatively transform everyday items into fun educational activities. These experiences help children of all ages learn academic concepts and acquire 21st century skills (critical thinking, creative problem solving, and collaboration).
Description
RAFT volunteers support education AND the environment. We have short-term projects ranging from creative to straightforward, as well as boards and committees who would love to have your help! Most short-term volunteer projects occur during our business hours, but we can accommodate large groups’ schedules as well.
