Will you have free time this summer? Would you like to help provide low-income children with free, healthy lunches? Burbank Housing needs committed and enthusiastic volunteers to help enrich the summers of children in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Healdsburg and Windsor.

This opportunity is great for students looking to get community service hours, future teachers, retirees, or people who enjoy working with children.

We partner with the Redwood Empire Food Bank to provide lunches to children who may not have access to lunch during the summer. We need passionate volunteers that would be willing to set up, pass out lunches and clean up afterwards. We also have materials for volunteers who would like to work with kids after lunch is served to provide some fun summer enrichment activities (however it is not required).

We will need 2 volunteers each day at each of 9 sites. For continuity we ask that volunteers sign up for at least 1 regular day per week. There will be a 90 minute training/orientation for all volunteers at the Food Bank before the program begins.

Please help us feed Sonoma County's children!
