A 64 year old man living with ALS and his husband are looking for someone to help them every week for 2-3 hours this summer; their regular volunteer is completing an internship out of state. They would like someone to clean their condo and run the occasional local errand. The gentleman with ALS is physically unable to do these things and can no longer drive. The husband’s time is limited since he works full-time and is his the primary caregiver.

Description
What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
