OneOC is proud to offer EncoreOC Fellowships throughout Orange County! As an EncoreOC Fellow, you will connect with a local nonprofit in meaningful & purposeful service to help address unmet community needs. During the 8-week program, you will fulfill critical project-based assignments that will bolster the infrastructure of the nonprofit at which you are serving.

OneOC - Encore Fellowship Program with Achievement Institute of Scientific Studies. The mission of the Achievement Institute of Scientific Studies is to help high-achieving, economically disadvantaged high school students gain a university education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Position Description: EncoreOC Fellows are highly-skilled volunteers who typically possess an advanced educational and professional background. Experienced applicants of all ages are encouraged to apply and are welcome to send a resume and cover letter.

Major Responsibilities and Related Tasks:

Developing STEM Program Curriculum - The EncoreOC Fellow will develop program curriculum for AISS that focuses on the College to Career Readiness STEM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

  • The Fellow will create curriculum that can be used in Fall 2018, in alignment with the work AISS does with the Santa Ana Unified School District.
  • The subject matter for the new curriculum will be college, career and youth development.
  • The Fellow will work closely with the Executive Director, staff, alumni and scholars during the process of writing the curriculum.
