Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s Guardianship Services
Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) provides legal guardians throughout Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties to serve as concerned, caring advocates and surrogate decision-makers for indigent adults who cannot care for themselves. Guardians look after the emotional, social, and physical well-being of vulnerable adults and advocate for the least restrictive environment possible.
Volunteer guardians are devoted to helping those who cannot help themselves. After the initial training, volunteers are matched with a nearby person in need of an advocate and make at least one face-to face visit per month. Volunteers receive continuous support from program staff.

As a catalyst and convener for meaningful conversation, LMM seeks to change the social, political, and religious conversation about justice from one of limitations to one of possibilities.
Focusing on Housing & Shelter, Workforce Development, and Health & Wellness Services, LMM creates innovative programs that serve with people who are homeless, youth who are at-risk, older adults who are vulnerable, people impacted by the criminal justice system, and individuals with behavioral health needs.
