If you like being outside and getting your hands in the dirt then this is the perfect opportunity for you! We have some gardeners who need a little help getting there gardens going. Whether it be to physical limitations, age, or other reasons, they would love to have you help them with weeding, etc. We also need pathways weeded, wood chips spread, and more! Make your own schedule and become one with nature!

Some of these plot will be used for the sole purpose of donating fresh produce to our local food banks and senior center!

The mission of the City of Sherwood Volunteer Program is to provide an enjoyable experience for citizens to help their community by assisting City staff; therefore enhancing the delivery of excellent customer service.

Description

The Community Services Department encompasses the Library, Sherwood Center for the Arts, Marjorie Stewart Senior/Community Center, the Sherwood Old Town Field House operations, volunteer services, field and gym scheduling, and the coordinating and planning of various cultural activities and events. The Community Services Department is responsible for planning and implementing recreation and cultural activities, volunteer services, and coordinating events such as Music on the Green and acting as a liaison to the YMCA and other community groups.
