Evening of Wine 2014
An Evening of Wine is a unique and fun event celebrating Washington wine while raising vital support for disease prevention research.

The Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI) is seeking volunteers to help with our annual fundraising auction dinner. All volunteers will receive a fantastic meal, special bottle of wine, and the satisfaction of knowing they are helping support valuable research at PNRI.

An Evening of Wine has three signature features: the Winemaker’s Reception, Name That Wine Game, and the Dinner & Live Auction.

The Winemaker's Reception

Raffle Sales: Volunteers will work the reception in groups of twos encouraging guests to purchase tickets.

Requires: Standing for long periods of time, walking, recording numbers, and enthusiastic salesperson attitude.

Greeter: Greet guests as they arrive at the event, direct them to any activities happening during the night.

Wine Glass Distributor: Assist staff with handing out wine glasses. More than 3,500 wine glasses are used for this event, so we could use your help!

Pourers (Class 12 permit required): Pour some of the best PNW wines during the reception.

Auction Display Associate: Assist with setting up the live auction; assembling auction displays and monitoring live auction table.

Wine Game Helper: Assist guest with the wine game; explaining rules and offering help when needed.

Auction Spotter: Each spotter will be assigned to a specific area in the room. Alert auctioneer of bidding by raising your hands high in the air when someone raises their bid card.

Auction Runner/Paper Runner: When a guest gets the winning bid on an item, "run" to collect their signature and give them a special prize.
