The Communities In Schools of Tacoma Ready, Set, Read-Tacoma! program is an early childhood literacy program designed to help prepare children for kindergarten in Tacoma Public Schools. This program is introduces children over the age of 3 to early literacy and STEAM concepts and is offered for free to families with children in the community.
Our program coordinator needs volunteer Library Assistants at Ready, Set Read locations to help TPS Librarians wirh checking in/out books, re-shelving, and data entry. You’d set your own times for this task. Our list of locations is below:

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
