Description The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.
The position will be responsible for assisting the Development Manager, Bike MS in planning and executing the Ohio Buckeye Bike MS program including the Bike to the Bay and Buckeye Breakaway events.
The candidate can expect to learn much more about the world of event fundraising. The candidate will also gain the following benefits:

Bike MS Events
- Assist with marketing and promotion of event
- Recruitment emails and phone calls to participants
- Assist with Draft Night events
- Interact with Bike MS volunteers, committee members, participants, and bike shops through detailed email communications, phone calls, and meetings
- Research opportunities to help market event and recruit new participants
- Assist with logistical elements
- Attend event and assist with participant registration and other aspects of the day
Assist staff with organization of events and administrative projects (take initiative by asking what else can be done to help the project go smoothly)
