Our playgrounds were installed over 30 years ago and are in need of updating! This initiative was created to provide safe and accessible structures for all students while adhering to the updated and current recommendations for playground accessibility and equipment.
The Hermantown playground committee is looking for community members, parents and businesses to help invest time towards the community building of the new playground this summer. The generous support of parents and businesses will help reduce construction cost and evoke community pride in this playground which will be enjoyed by families for many years. The playground construction starts July 16 and we are looking for volunteers July 19-23rd. Volunteer time to work for a half or full day.

Mission Statement
The Hermantown Pluground Initiative is made up of a team of enthusiastic teachers, volunteer community members, administration and maintenance staff from the Hermantown community schools. Our purpose is to replace our current 2nd to 5th grade playground. Our goal is to provide a safe and accessible structures for all while adhering to the updated and current recommendations from the playground assessability and equipment.
