Description
West Arundel Creative Arts (WACA) is an arts-focused nonprofit dedicated to providing visual, creative, and performing arts opportunities to families in and around western Anne Arundel County. This area in Anne Arundel County is underserved in that WACA is the only nonprofit arts organization in the respective area. We offer classes ranging from painting and drawing to dance and vocal training in order to introduce individuals to the wide variety of arts that exist. We also provide opportunities to perform even at a young age, producing musicals and plays throughout the year and running multiple summer camps focused on theater and art. We try to do this in an affordable way so that everyone can participate and be included. We are also actively engaged in the community, hosting art festivals and special events at our center for the arts, participating in community events, and working with local schools and the county libraries to introduce everyone to the possibilities the arts has to offer.
