Mission Statement

Dismas House of St. Louis, in the tradition of its founder Rev. Dismas Clark, is staffed and operated on the belief that the population it serves can lead independent, fulfilling lives through rehabilitation and education.

Description

The Primary objective of Dismas House is to properly prepare the ex-offender for his return to a free society where he can live as a productive, law-abiding citizen. Additional goal and objectives include:

 Providing a comfortable, positive, safe and structured environment for the resident

 Providing employment and/or educational, vocational placement

 Providing an atmosphere which encourages and permits residents to improve family relationships and social re-adjustment

 Integrating services with the community resources to meet the needs of the resident and community

 Providing a competent staff

 To enhance the dignity and self-worth of each individual resident
