Hello future volunteers!
Are you interested in working with your hands and meeting amazing people in the Oakland community? Join us for the Oakland Peace Center Work Day! Registration is required to participate in this event. We will be working on projects to beautify our building. Some of the work day projects include painting, gardening, trimming hedges, and so much more. There will also be music and food provided! We want this to be an opportunity for the community to come together to make Oakland Peace Center aesthetically pleasing.

Mission Statement
The Oakland Peace Center provides needed space, hosts collaborative events and trainings, and creates a network of emotional and spiritual support for the 30+ organizations who partner in its work. These organizations pursue access, opportunity, justice, and inner peace throughout the Bay Area each in their own way. They can turn to the Oakland Peace Center to fortify and amplify these efforts through solidarity and cross-pollination. The OPC inspires these organizations to participate in a vision larger than that of any individual or member organization.
Description
The Oakland Peace Center provides needed space, hosts collaborative events and trainings, and creates a network of emotional and spiritual support for the organizations who partner with us. We believe that together we can create the peace we seek. Together we can put an end to violence, hatred and injustice. We are a collaborative community of artists, activists, cultural workers, educators and nonprofits. Together we work to bring about a community of hope, justice, nonviolence and compassion.
